 Position:   Lead Hand For Wood Shop
                   Full time Seasonal – Early March to End of November

 Pay Rate:  $16.00 to $18.00 per hour depending on experience

 OUTLINE:      The Shop Lead Hand works with the management team to improve safety, quality, cost efficiency, and waste reduction.  The Shop Lead Hand is responsible for assembling outdoor wood products including assuring production targets are met, monitoring all production activity and maintaining a safe working environment. 

 QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrate leadership skills and the motivation to take the initiative and do what needs to be done.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills both oral and written
• Must be a demonstrated decision-maker who easily interacts with others and is adept at leading and motivating a team
• Comprehensive knowledge of  woodworking
• High school graduation (post secondary, ie trade certification an asset)
• Organizational skills, results-oriented, ability to teach and mentor
• Valid driver’s licence
• Must be flexible and available for shift work as required
• Loader and forklift experience an asset

Position:  Delivery/Yard Labourer
                 Full Time Seasonal:  (mid April to October)

PAY RATE:  $14.00 to $15.00 per hour

 OUTLINE:    Driving a delivery truck daily into the City of Ottawa.  The delivery person would be responsible for accuracy of loading the truck, and unloading the truck at the customers’ home. When not out doing deliveries, working in the yard assembling lumber orders, assisting with inventory counting and maintenance.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid driver’s licence

• Bondable, clean driving record
• Experience driving in the City of Ottawa, including downtown, knowledge of directions, and the ability to read maps.
• Must be physically fit in order to unload the truck by hand with little or no help
• High School Graduate: reading, writing and math skills are required
• Must be flexible and available for shift work has required
